EMAIL: What’s in a Name?
What’s in a name? I’ve broken down the word “email” as an acronym to hopefully provide a little inspiration. I chose the words below to highlight what I think are some important components of a good email marketing strategy. Now, you might have gone with different words for some or all of the letters and [...]
View PostQR Codes: When, Where, Why & How
Last week I posted an introduction to QR codes inspired by a whitepaper from GetResponse. Today, I thought we might consider the when, where, why and how of applying QR codes. A camera equipped smartphone which has the right reading software installed can scan these codes in an instant and then do such [...]
iMoms & Mobile Email Marketing
I have a confession to make. Since my days as the editor of PC World Canada I have adored iMoms. These devices are going to continue to have dramatic impact on our personal lives and how we do business and certainly [...]
Tips for Crafting Creative Subject Lines
I’m a strong believer in the power of subject lines and headlines. I probably spend way too much time on them, even if the results don’t always live up to the effort put in, I feel compelled to try (emphasis on ‘try’) to make each one perfect. Perhaps I have way too much time on [...]
5 Tips & Tactics for Email Marketing Success
Earlier in the year, Silverpop released a whitepaper titled “5 Expert Tips and Tactics for Email Marketing Success in 2011.” Certainly email is evolving and I’m pleased to see that this whitepaper mentions the importance of the multi-channel marketing today. Let’s take a look at the five tips offered in the whitepaper: 1 [...]
