StrongMail announced two initiatives that further strengthen the position of the company in combining email marketing and social media. For starters, the company announced a partnership with social media marketing management and measurement firm Radian6.
On top of that, StrongMail announced the launch of Social Studio (you can test drive it here), “a centralized campaign management application that is now being made available to professional social media marketers”.
StrongMail is really taking a leading role here in a cross-channel approach whereby its customers can reach their target groups via the channels they choose. With the Radian6 partnership, it even goes a big step further than just that.
If you know the existing partnerships Radian6 has with web analytics and other vendors and with some social media platforms that I can’t unfortunately share yet (non-disclosure, you know), this is really becoming big, integrated and customer-centric.
I guess it’s not a coincidence I talk often about StrongMail here.
Anyway, we’ve got ESPs (Email Service Providers) that do some social stuff, we’ve got players like Lyris and StrongMail that do a lot of stuff, we have marketing automation platforms (MAPS), we have CRM vendors that are becoming ESPs and MAPs, well, we have a lot going on.
Interesting to see how all this will evolve.
Update October 2015: StrongMail is now StrongView and has merged with Selligent
