Genoo adds social media features to its lead management solution

Genoo Genoo, an “affordable” (read: relatively low-cost) web-based online marketing automation, lead nurturing and lead management platform, this week announced that its customers can now also measure the social media marketing impact in their campaigns.

The platform allows its users to add a range of social media capabilities into the micro sites, emails, etc. they use with Genoo to allow them to track leads that are sharing information with others.

I haven’t tested Genoo yet but, since they offer the possibility, I might give it a try soon.

Anyway, it’s interesting to see that lead nurturing, lead management and marketing automation, including social media capabilities, are available for businesses with smaller budgets as well.

Genoo also enables marketers to get the bigger picture of how effective the social sharing is – “providing hassle-free social media tracking on their marketing efforts”.

Here is how it would work, for example: let’s say you include a “share this on Facebook” option on any web page run on Genoo. You can see how many leads opted to share the content, how many new visitors referred from that link, and which subscribe for future contact.

In other words, it’s possible to distinguish the best leads, and see the leads they generate – with just a few mouse clicks.

To quote Genoo’s Kim Albee: “It’s a whole new take on social! One you can leverage in meaningful ways, just add imagination and creativity.”

Some more social media features Genoo has added:

Site Follow –option to display how visitors can follow your organization’s social media profiles on both website and emails.

Page Sharing – enable visitors to share website pages and emails with others through the usual social media suspects including Facebook, LinkedIn, Digg, Delicious, etc. Users can also track referral sources who brought traffic back to their sites.

RSS Feeds – this Genoo-enabled micro sites function allows you to determine which pages are included in the feed, giving leads and visitors options for how to keep in touch with your company.

Page Comments – identify which pages are open for comments and manage the comments left by site visitors.

Expect a review soon or try it out yourself on Genoo.com and of course you can always comment if you use or have used Genoo.
